Aranthodu: A resident of Beejadakatte in Goonadka has filed a complaint with the forest department and police, alleging that a tree removal operation caused significant damage to his agricultural land.
The complainant, B.K. Keshava, stated that the forest department had engaged contractors to clear a large tree by the roadside. During the operation, the massive Halumaddi tree fell onto his private property while no one was present at home.
In his complaint, Keshava mentioned that the falling tree destroyed several of his cultivated plants and trees, including banana, jackfruit, mango, jamun, mosambi, pomegranate, and guava trees.
He has requested the authorities to take appropriate action and compensate him for the losses incurred.
