However, much to the fans' dismay, the headline bout of UFC 317 has not been announced yet. Over the past few months, there have been too many speculations amongst the fans stemming from the results of the past UFC events. The rumors of Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall, Islam Makhachev vs. Ilia Topuria and others have provided the promotion with enough options to announce the headline bout. But it seems like the UFC boss, Dana White, is taking his own sweet time to weigh in on these options.

However, there is another speculated fight that has garnered a huge reaction within the combat sports community - a title unification bout between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall. Despite all the rumors, nothing has been confirmed as of yet. With UFC 318 already featuring a headline bout, which has been scheduled for July 20, 2025, fans are growing restless over the vacant main card of UFC 317, an event less than two months away.
