On the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21, actor Param Singh opened up about the importance of yoga in his life and how the ancient Indian practice continues to shape his physical and mental well-being. Currently seen essaying the lead role of Dr. Neil Pradhan in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Param spoke passionately about the positive impact yoga has had on both his personal and professional life.
Sharing his perspective, Param said, "I enjoy the moment to pause from the daily hustle, breathe, and reflect. Yoga is much more than a form of exercise, it is a holistic system for improving overall well-being. And as a result, it helps in improving flexibility and balance, building strength, and boosting immunity. It improves focus and clarity, reduces stress and anxiety, and supports emotional resilience. It also boosts energy levels. In a way, practicing yoga helps me both in personal and professional (as an actor) growth."
Param also detailed his morning yoga routine, revealing his connection to traditional practices.
"Every early morning, I make sure to practice Surya Namaskar, which comprises 12 steps—these can be identified as 10 distinct asanas. It is meant to channel the energy of the cosmos—the sun, in particular—into the body. It actually helps, as I have experienced the result. I follow some of Baba Ramdev's yogasanas and also do meditation every single day."
Known for his powerful lead roles in shows like Ishk Par Zor Nahi, Mariam Khan – Reporting Live, and Ghulaam, Param has built a strong following not just for his acting talent but also for his dedication to fitness and discipline. On Yoga Day, his message is a reminder of how inner peace and balance can be cultivated through simple yet meaningful practices.
