Zara and Mike Tindall have been caught on camera during a surprise trip to Australia. Although usually regular attendees at Wimbledon, the couple appeared to have swapped their plans for an Australian winter this year.

The couple, who are known for their public displays of affection, were pictured by the Sydney Morning Herald wrapped up for the colder climate. Donning coats, hats and scarves, Zara and Mike headed Down Under for the 2025 State of Origin decider.

It remains unclear whether Zara, 44, and Mike, 46, have travelled with their three children - Mia, 11, Lena, seven, and four-year-old Lucas.

During their appearance, it is known that they were guests of Maroons coach Billy Slater's wife, Nicole Slater.

In their winter attire, the couple were proudly sporting the Queensland colours at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Wednesday.

Cheering on Queensland from the sidelines, Mike and Zara were present to witness a 24-12 victory over New South Wales.

Mike, who officially joined the Royal Family in 2011 after marrying Zara, was part of the England rugby squad that won the 2003 World Cup. He later retired from the sport in 2014.

The couppe have been vocal about their love for Australia, with them typically visiting each January.

Speaking to HELLO! earlier this year, Zara said: "We have always loved Australia and it is like a home from home for us.

"We have been coming to Queensland for so long now it has become a tradition for the start of the year - and although the Magic Millions carnival is busy with so much going on, being by the beach, with like-minded horse enthusiasts celebrating all things equine - we couldn't ask for a better way to start the year."
