The Traitors star Claudia Winkleman has decided to make the move into her own castle, but has swapped out the stunning Scottish scenery for the Cotswolds countryside. The TV presenter hosts the popular BBC game show alongside the channel's landmark competition, Strictly Come Dancing. While juggling two of the biggest shows on the flagship channel, she has now reportedly joined the Cotswolds celebrity neighbourhood alongside Jeremy Clarkson, Ellen DeGeneres, and the Beckhams.
According to the Daily Mail, the mum-of-three has made the move down south after a friend of the broadcaster told the publication: "She and her husband have a long-term rental on a Cotswolds house. I understand they moved in three years ago and love having a bolthole away from the capital for holidays and weekends."
Described as a historic manor house worth a staggering £3million, it is understood that Winkleman and her Danish film producer husband Kris Thykier are renting the country abode.
The news comes as The Celebrity Traitors is set to air next month. Charlotte Church, Clare Balding, Tom Daley, and Jonathan Ross will join the cast. The show will offer a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
Ahead of the series' release, she gushed: "We're incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. I'd love to say we'll take it easy on them, and they'll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks, but that would be a lie."
The BBC recently confirmed that Celebrity Traitors will premiere on Wednesday, October 8, at 9 p.m. on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Fans will be treated to a special 70-minute episode that will provide plenty of juicy drama.
Audiences will be thrilled to learn that there will be nine 60-minute episodes in the series. The show will be broadcast twice a week, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 9pm.
Ahead of the highly anticipated series, Amanda Holden has given her verdict on her friend Alan Carr's upcoming appearance on Celebrity Traitors. While production for the news series was underway back in April, Amanda shared her thoughts on her close friend Alan's appearance on the hit show.
She exclusively revealed on the set of her new BBC gameshow, The Inner Circle: "He's in the castle in Inverness as we speak! I think he'd be a terrible traitor, and I think if they had any sense, that's exactly what they'd make him be.
"It would be hilarious because he is rubbish at trying to keep secrets. He told me last year he was doing Traitors. It was like the biggest secret, I was like, 'Shush, Alan!'"
Since its debut on BBC One in 2022, he show has consistently held a loyal audience. A breakout hit from the first series, the show has seen remarkable growth with series three averaging 10.3million viewers across all 12 episode, and the launch episode reaching 10.9million.
This makes it the biggest unscripted series in the market (since ITV's I'm a Celebrity in 2022) and the most popular unscripted series for 16-34s (2.3million), with half of its viewing coming from iPlayer.
