Lanzarote in October, according to the Met Office, with an average high of 26.8ºC.

The warmest destination on our list, it's definitely one for those who prefer to bask in the sun on a sandy beach.

Flights from the UK to Lanzarote take around four hours, but being off the coast of Africa, the sun is almost guaranteed.

October has minimal rainfall in Lanzarote, making it the perfect time to hike, explore the island's local markets and vineyards, and take part in water sports without the summer crowds.
