TalkTV presenter and Daily Express columnist James Whale shared an emotional update on his terminal cancer battle as he said "I'm coming to the end". Appearing on the show via video link, James was seen at home with his wife Nadine as he shared a sad update on his cancer battle, after previously sharing he wouldn't make it to Christmas.
He was diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer in 2019, and told his fans in May that he had stopped treatment and was "at the end of his cancer journey". In a new update, he said: "Because I'm coming to the end, today I got very emotional, I can feel it coming back and I want to stop, I'm spending a lot of time crying and eventually in the end, all the pain and everything else, for me it is the emotion of the whole thing."
Nadine added: "It's very sad, it's very tough, and you're doing amazingly dealing with it."
James continued: "If it wasn't for work allowing me to work every now and again, I think we would go around the bend, it gives you focus and a reason to do something, even if it is just something like this."
Dame Andrea Jenkyns shared her support, writing on X: "Heartbreaking to see go through this, sending much love and prayers to you both James xx."

James was first diagnosed with cancer in 2000, and had one of his kidneys removed as part of the treatment. In a sad twist, his first wife, Melinda Maxted, died of lung cancer in 2018.
He recently appeared on TalkTV from the studio alongside Ash Gould as he said: "I'm at the end of my cancer journey. There is no treatment I can have anymore. I'm hoping to go on for another few months, but as soon as I can't do the show anymore, I won't.
"I can't tell you how grateful I am to Talk to actually let me on the air and sit next to Ash, which is a real pain in the butt, but I've been doing it for 25 years."
