Strictly Come Dancing 2025 contestant Thomas Skinner left fans gobsmacked when he announced he's already dropped a stone after rehearsing for his dances with professional partner Amy Dowden - just weeks into the competition. He admitted he "feels no different" despite the loss - and admitted he "can't wait to get back in the caff", though he has noticed his trousers are "a little bit bigger".
He's far from the first Strictly star to have dropped an incredible amount of weight as the series goes on. One star dropped an incredible 12 stone after Strictly inspired her to go on a weight loss journey - and she "loves" her new body.
Emmerdale legend Lisa Riley dropped four stone while appearing on Strictly, and she said she wanted to prove to people she wasn't a "chunky monkey" while competing on the dance competition. She even became the first female contestant to lift her male dancer partner in the air.
After the show, she overhauled her lifestyle and dropped an incredible 12 stone in total, going from a size 30 to a size 14 in two years.
She said: "I am so proud of everything I have done. At my funeral, the priest is not going to say, 'Thank you for coming, Lisa Riley was fat!'. He is not going to mention my size, as it doesn't matter.
"I love the fact I can inspire people to be healthy and make them believe that if they want to make it happen they can. But I have given so much more to people and my career."
Despite causing controversy on Strictly last year, opera singer Wynne Evans was inspired to lose weight and hit the gym to dance with his partner Katya Jones. He even gave up cheese and jam - his favourite foods - as he transformed his fitness routine.
He said ahead of the show: "The stuff I'm more nervous about is doing something like the jive because I represent every portly middle-aged father who jumps and could set a minor tsunami off in North London. I'm kind of a bit nervous about that."
Though he had lost five and a half stone prior to his Strictly appearance, he went on to drop even more pounds during his intense dance rehearsals.
Alison Hammond went from weighing 28 stone to 16.5 stone after learning she was pre-diabetic from her doctor - and managed to reverse her diagnosis.
Strictly and This Morning star Alison says she wanted to avoid using weight loss jabs, and managed to improve her health using a personal trainer and diet changes. She told Good Housekeeping UK: "I think that, for people who need to use [weight loss jabs], they're a good thing - but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened.
"So I haven't wanted to use them, but that's not to say I wouldn't in the future, and I certainly wouldn't look down on anyone who did."

Strictly inspired Dragons' Den icon Sara Davies to overhaul her lifestyle after a warning from her doctor that she had developed gestational diabetes while pregnant - and was at the risk of developing Type 2.
The Strictly star took up running and hired a personal trainer to help her shift three stone, explaining: "I spent the end of last year cutting our sugar.
"And when I say cutting out sugar, I don't just mean I stopped eating chocolate and cake. I stopped drinking fruit juice or eating fruit, and cut down my alcohol intake."
