Matt Tebbutt ended up cutting himself while presenting Saturday Kitchen - with a crew member forced to rush in.
The BBC cooking show returned to screens on Saturday morning (October 18) with Matt back at the helm after being absent from last week's show.
Joining Matt on the programme were chefs Adejoké Bakare and Theo Randall. Strictly star Chris McCausland also made an appearance, and drinks expert Olly Smith was on hand too, to discuss some booze.
However, things took a worrying turn when Matt started cooking with Adejoké by chopping up some vegetables. As she got to work preparing the delicious food, Matt ended up cutting himself.
"Michaela," he said, referring to a Saturday Morning crew member. He added: "Can I get a plaster please? I've cut myself!"
Washing his finger, Matt said: "I thought lets not hide that." Despite his injury, Matt continued to help Adejoké cook the dish and proclaimed: "I'm doing everything one-handed!"
Adejoké praised him: "Look you can do one-handed you're fine. You're flying!" A crew member then rushed onto the set to plaster up Matt's cut on his finger.
He said: "Sorry Adejoké! This wasn't in the script!" He then declared: "Right, I'm all good back to normal!" as he continued to assit Adejoké with her food.
It comes after the news that Matt will be joining the judging panel for the upcoming series of MasterChef: The Professionals, alongside Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti. The trio will also welcome a host of thrilling guest judges during the initial stages of the competition.
Talking about his new judging gig, Matt previously said: "It's an absolute honour to be working alongside these two titans of the food world.
"Their knowledge and uncompromising attitude is now the stuff of legend and I look forward to them taking me under their wing and seeing the chefs get off to a flying start in the competition!"
