Manchester United have suffered a significant transfer setback with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma reportedly reaching personal terms with Premier League rivals Manchester City.
The Italian shot-stopper is poised to depart Paris following his failure to secure a fresh contract and displayed visible emotion as he bid farewell to PSG supporters on Friday evening.
In a fresh development revealed on Sunday morning, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed: "Donnarumma has agreed on personal terms with Manchester City, keen on joining Pep Guardiola.
"Negotiations are also underway between Man City and PSG, fee will be under initial €50m request."
It is believed that for Donnarumma's arrival at the Etihad, Brazilian star Ederson would be required to depart the club.
The South American has been linked with a potential switch to Galatasaray.
City's present first-choice keeper, England prospect James Trafford, suffered a nightmare outing as he handed Tottenham a goal during their 2-0 triumph over the Citizens at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.
It is believed that City remain hesitant to meet PSG's asking price, though the valuation could decrease as the transfer window progresses, with the French giants risking losing Donnarumma without compensation next summer.
The Red Devils have been connected with several goalkeepers during this transfer period.
Onana has battled fitness concerns and was previously linked with a return to Inter Milan earlier in the window.
Irrespective of the Donnarumma situation, United appear destined to secure another goalkeeper in the shape of promising Belgian keeper Senne Lammens. United have been closely monitoring the 23 year old Royal Antwerp sensation for the past year, and have arranged a deal that will see them shell out an initial £16million plus a series of add-ons.
It's believed that Lammens is keen on a move to Old Trafford, despite attracting attention from Galatasaray, Inter Milan and Lille.
United are now set to finalise a deal with the player, even though Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray made a last-minute bid last night in an attempt to snatch the towering 6ft 4in goalkeeper.
