Katie Price has divulged some major updates regarding her son Harvey's future on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, announcing "a lot's gonna change" in his life as he starts a new medical treatment. Broadcasting from Dubai, Katie shared that her eldest, who battles ADHD, autism, Prader-Willi Syndrome, and septo-optic dysplasia, is set to transition from college to independent living. Harvey was first moved into full-time care at a residential college in 2021 to foster personal growth and skill development.
However, in July last year, Katie revealed she had to withdraw him from the costly £350k-per-year institution when the local authority did not cover the costs due to his "no healthcare issues".
The devoted mother has now mentioned potential plans for Harvey to use Mounjaro, a medication for weight loss, in conjunction with moving into a facility in Southampton specifically catering to individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome.
Price said: "And they've had a few people there, within months, just losing weight because they know how to deal with it.", reports OK!

Eagerly anticipating the impact of these changes, she further stated: "You know, in a couple of years, Harvey's gonna look different with that place... the Mounjaro, like? And then he gets the proper little life back, because at the moment, where he's so big, he's just out of breath. So, a lot's gonna change for Harv when he moves."
She expressed her excitement for the transformation, saying: "I don't... I can't wait to see what he's gonna look like. Because everyone's so used to Harvey being so big - imagine him being a lot smaller. It'll be so weird."
Tirzepatide, known commercially as Mounjaro, is a diabetes type 2 management drug that NICE approved in 2024 for facilitating weight loss in obese individuals on the NHS.
Starting from last month, GPs throughout England have been authorised to prescribe this medication to extremely obese patients with a BMI exceeding 40 during its initial year. Eligibility also hinges on the presence of certain health conditions, including high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, elevated cholesterol levels, or sleep apnoea.
It comes after Katie shared that Harvey's weight is now "life-threatening", as she said on Snapchat earlie this year: "I'm so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up. I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg of being 30 stone."
"It's so life-threatening now, I'm still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life."
She lamented: "It's so sad his quality of life at the moment where he's so big, he just can't really do much. It's just another thing I have to deal with because he's at high risk of having a heart attack, he struggles to put his trainers or struggles to walk anywhere but I love him and I'm going to help him through this."
