One Good Morning Britain star has issued a teasing announcement over the "new Strictly Come Dancing hosts" after Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly both stepped down from presenting the BBC show. GMB panellist Narinder Kaur has launched a bid to become the new host - and hinted ITV presenter Alison Hammond could join her.
Taking to X, Narinder posted a picture of the two opposite each other, writing: "Ladies and gentlemen... your new Strictly Come Dancing hosts. As chosen by me. PS how beautiful is Alison looking!" She added: "If I can't be a contestant at least consider me as the new presenter @bbcstrictly? Me and...? Comment a good one!"
But Narider was instantly hit with backlash, with one begging: "I've never watched Strictly but please do not make Narinder the damn host!"
Another joked: "I thought the show was already struggling!" while a third said: "Can't wait to see the ratings!"
But others came out in support of Narinder, with one gushing: "If this were true I might watch, just for the intro." Another echoed: "Would be fine by me! I'd want to see you compete on there first, they let Ann Widdecombe on there and she has some strong opinions - only fair if you could get on there!"
It comes as Robbie Williams has teased his own involvement in the show, jokingly tweeting: "Just got a rather fancy phone call about a very glittery dance floor job. Apparently sequins and tuxedos might be in my future. Stay tuned!"
Holly Willoughby is currently the top frontrunner to be in with a chance, after Dancing on Ice was shelved earlier this year. She's currently priced at 2/1 odds, while Roman Kemp is following closely behind at 3/1.
