Emmerdale and Corrie are missing from ITV's schedule as the channel continues to air the latest UEFA Women's Euro 2025 tournament. This evening, Portugal will go against Italy in the second round of Group B matches.
It will be on television from 7.15pm until 10.20pm, leaving no room for either ITV soap to be aired tonight. Usually, Emmerdale airs on weeknights from 7.30pm until 8pm, while Coronation Street is broadcast on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm for an hour.
In addition to tonight's shake-up Corrie will not air until Thursday, July 10 in a later slot of 9pm. Another episode will follow at 8pm on Friday, July 11. Regarding Emmerdale, the soap will air as normal tomorrow (Tuesday, July 8), but it won't air on Wednesday night as there is a match between Wales and France on ITV from 7pm.
However, the serial drama will return on Thursday evening at 7.30pm for its hour-long episode, and then on Friday at the same time.
Emmerdale bosses took to Instagram to share an update with fans of the soap wanting to know more about the scheduling.
Sharing a picture explaining the schedule changes, Emmerdale's official account read: "Wondering where to catch the soaps this week? We've got you covered!
"Don't forget - you can stream episodes from 7am on ITVX and YouTube, the same day they air on TV."
Fans don't seem happy their beloved show has been pulled from its usual slot, with one penning: "Stop putting football first. Scotland aren't even in the euros, so I don't see why we should suffer."
Another shared, "At least put it on ITV2 or ITVX," while someone else remarked, "Thanks. That's useful to know. I'll be glad when things are back to normal. I'm missing my regular soap fix."
A fourth wrote: "Why aren't the episodes on Tuesday and Friday one-hour-long episodes? Surely making them an hour long will make up for not having an episode tonight and Wednesday?"
Another fan said: "Why can't they put football on ITV2? Everyone has the channel. It's the one programme I watch and it's taken off for football."
Emmerdale usually airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and can be streamed on ITVX.
