The horror-comedy universe created by Maddock Films is all set to level up — and this time, it’s bringing in some major star power. After the success of Stree and Bhediya, the studio is reportedly planning a fresh chapter in the genre, and it might just feature none other than Ranveer Singh and former Miss World Manushi Chhillar.
According to a recent report by Mid-Day, Ranveer has been in discussions with producer Dinesh Vijan, and even paid a visit to the Maddock Films office last week. Sources say the makers wanted to inject “new energy” into the franchise, and Ranveer is eager to dive into this quirky, spooky universe. The official paperwork is expected to be finalized soon.
Avengers-Style Universe on the Cards?
Interestingly, insiders hint that Maddock Films might be gearing up to expand its horror-comedy world into something much bigger — possibly in the vein of Marvel’s Avengers. If true, this would bring together iconic characters from Stree, Bhediya, and future films in one shared cinematic universe.
The project is expected to go on floors in early 2026, once Ranveer wraps up his current commitments — including Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar and a portion of Don 3.
A Birthday Surprise for Fans
Ranveer’s fans might not have to wait too long for a treat. On July 6, 2025, his birthday, the first look teaser of Dhurandhar is likely to drop. Directed by Aditya Dhar, this spy action drama will reportedly present Ranveer in a never-seen-before “angry young man” avatar — though an official announcement is still awaited.
With Ranveer Singh stepping into the Maddock horror-comedy world, expectations are sky-high. If the buzz is anything to go by, this film might just blow the roof off the box office and set the tone for a new era of desi horror-comedy blockbusters.
