Stay imposed on the decision of 11 August
With today's decision, the Supreme Court has stayed the decision of August 11, in which it was asked to send all the stray dogs of Delhi NCR to shelter homes.
In its decision, the court clarified that dogs will not be kept in shelter homes, they will be released after their sterilization. However, sick and aggressive dogs will have to be kept in shelter homes.
Let us tell you that this decision has been given by a bench of three judges headed by Justice Vikram Nath. The Supreme Court has also issued a notice in this regard to all the states and union territories of the country.
You will not be able to feed food in public places
The apex court said that a separate place should be made in every communal block to feed stray dogs. The court directed that dogs should be fed only at the designated place. Dogs will not be fed at any public place. If anyone is found doing so, action will be taken against him.
It will be relocated to the same place from where it was picked up
The court made it clear that the dogs will be relocated to the same place from where they were picked up. The Supreme Court said that feeding dogs in any public place is a problem. A complaint will be filed against those who violate the rules. A helpline number will be issued for complaints.
