Sky is rolling out a tempting deal offering Sky Sports access for pennies to celebrate the start of the Premier League season. The broadcasting giant is slashing the price of its Sky Sports package for £19 when ordering a new Sky Glass smart TV.
Typically priced at £33, this deal is equal to roughly 63p per day and is available when shoppers upgrade their TV to either the Sky Glass Air and Sky Glass Gen 2, with monthly costs starting at £6 and £14 respectively. Bagging one of these devices along with a Sky Sports add-on provides access to nine Sky Sports channels including Main Event, Premier League, Football, F1, Golf and Tennis.
It comes as Sky ramps up its Premier League coverage from 128 to a 215 games this season, which it says is 80% of all televised matches. Sky hasn't set an expiry date for this introductory offer, which saves £336 over a 24-month period.

The Sky Glass range is Sky's own brand of smart TVs, complete with built-in Sky and streaming apps, doing away with the need for a satellite dish or a Sky box. Both models hit the market earlier this year, with the Air being a more budget-friendly and slimmer version of the Gen 2.
Both models come with a 4K HDR Quantum Dot screen, Dolby speaker system and other nifty features like voice control, personalised recommendations, and a simple plug-and-play setup. Plus, Sky Glass can automatically tweak the display and sound based on what's on screen for the best viewing experience, making it perfect for footy fans, reports Birmingham Live.
The key difference between the Air and Gen 2 is their speaker systems; while the Air boasts two Dolby Audio speakers, the Gen 2 comes with seven Dolby Atmos speakers and a built-in soundbar. It's worth noting that the monthly cost of Sky Glass includes the TV itself and requires a Sky TV and Netflix subscription.
Prices start with the £15 Essential TV bundle, which offers more than 100 channels including Sky Atlantic, as well as Netflix and Discovery+ subscriptions. Opting for this package with the 43" Sky Glass Air and Sky Sports comes in at £40 per month, plus a one-off payment of £20.
There's also a discounted TNT Sports add-on up for grabs for £20, a bargain compared to the usual £30.99 price via Discovery+ Premium. However, customers should bear in mind that Sky Sports will revert to its regular £33 after the first 24 months.
This Sky offer goes head-to-head with Virgin Media's Summer of Sports sale, which has seen prices slashed across various TV, Sky Sports and fibre broadband plans until September 2. These now start at £54.99, down from £65.99, for the Bigger Combo bundle + Sports, offering over 200 TV channels, including eight from Sky Sports such as Main Event, Football and F1.
One drawback to both Sky and Virgin's contracts is that bills will rise each April in line with inflation. This year, Sky hiked its TV and broadband prices by 6.2%, while Virgin has already announced its Bigger Combo bundle + Sports will jump to £58.49 from April 2026 and £61.99 from April 2027.
However, unlike many providers, Sky allows its customers to terminate their contract after a price hike announcement, providing more flexibility to shop around.
