ITV This Morning star makes return to show with exciting wedding update

This Morning, star Nick Ferrari returned to theITV show with a sweet personal update: he revealed that he had recently got married.

During Tuesday’s (August 12) episode of the hit daytime chat show, Andi Peters and Emma Willis took on hosting duties, as they filled in forCat Deeley andBen Shephard, who are currently on their summer break, on the ITV talk show.

Just minutes before diving into the day's top stories, Andi announced: “Alison is here alongside the nearly wed Nick Ferrari.”

The presenter was greeted with a round of applause as Andi asked: “Was it a wonderful day?” Nicki revealed: “It was, and the weather smiled on us. We had to make our way around Parliament Square just before the arrest, so as a car went past, the police moved in.”

A picture from his special day then popped up on the screen as Nicki continued: “I look startled or like I’m being heckled but she (Clare) chose that picture so I’m not going to argue.”

Referring to his outfit choice for today's show, Andi said, “It looks like you’re wearing the same suit and shirt.”

Everyone burst out laughing as Nick explained: “I have got more than one pink shirt, Andi.” Emma jumped in: “Aw, congratulations.”

Andi joked, “Nice to have you straight back, back to work. She’s got you working straight away.” Nick added: “Well, I’ve got to pay for the frock.”

Nick, 66, tied the knot with his long-term partner, Clare Goodwin, this weekend after a 10-year relationship.

They tied the knot at the Old Marylebone Town Hall on Saturday afternoon, surrounded by close family, before returning to Nick’s home in South East London for food in the garden.

The pair first met at Global Radio, where Clare is Head of Branded Content for Heart, Smooth, LBC, and Gold. Needle & Thread made Clare’s dress, and her friend Robin created the floral arrangements.

The couple’s wedding followed Nick’s public announcement of their engagement earlier this year at their favourite restaurant in the south of France.

Nick’s proposal story revealed his playful side. He admitted to keeping Clare guessing about when he would pop the question, even jokingly getting down on one knee in a home improvement store. Instead of producing a ring, he asked her to pass him a screwdriver, before picking up a jubilee clip—a type of hose clamp—as a temporary engagement ring. The couple later bought a “decent ring” the following morning.
