Ruben Amorim is looking to bounce back from the brink as his Manchester United side take on Burnley in what's shaping up to be a must-win game for the Red Devils. On Wednesday, United suffered a humiliating exit from the EFL Cup at the hands of League 2 outfit Grimsby Town, losing a tense penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw in normal time.
They are still looking for their first win of the season after losing to Arsenal on the opening day and drawing with Fulham last week. Burnley, in contrast, are in fine form and aiming to make it three wins on the bounce after beating fellow promoted side Sunderland before knocking Derby out of the EFL Cup in midweek.
A win at Old Trafford could propel Scott Parker's Clarets into the top half of the table while leaving United dangerously close to the relegation zone, a familiar position for them last season. Here, Mirror Football breaks down everything you need to know ahead of the clash...

When is Man Utd vs Burnley taking place? The match will take place at Old Trafford on Saturday, August 30. Kick off is at 3pm.
How do I watch Man Utd vs Burnley?Unfortunately for UK viewers, the match will not be broadcast live. This is because of the long-standing 3pm blackout rule, which has been in place since the 1960s.
Under this regulation, football matches scheduled between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on Saturdays are not permitted to be shown live on UK TV. The rule was originally introduced to protect match attendances, encouraging fans to attend games in person rather than watching from home.
It applies across all professional leagues, including the Premier League, the English Football League, and lower-tier competitions, and has remained largely unchanged despite the growth of broadcasting and streaming.
While some exceptions exist - for example, matches played on public holidays or certain cup fixtures - the 3pm blackout continues to be a unique feature of English football, shaping how fans experience the sport each weekend.
Why was the 3pm blackout rule lifted recently? The longstanding 3pm blackout rule was temporarily lifted at the start of the EFL season due to the staggered scheduling of fixtures, with multiple matches on August 2 being televised live.
League 1 and League 2 kicked off in early August, with the Championship following a week later on August 7, and the Premier League starting on August 15. This staggered start created a unique situation under UEFA's regulations: the 3pm blackout applies only when at least 50 per cent of matches in the top two divisions kick off at 3pm on a Saturday.
With the Premier League and Championship not playing on the same day during that first weekend, Sky Sports was able to broadcast all the 3pm lower-league fixtures - a clever loophole that temporarily bypassed the blackout.
However, this weekend the blackout is back in full effect, meaning United and Burnley fans will once again need to attend in person to catch the action live.

Fans in search of their regular Premier League fix this weekend won't be left disappointed, with Sky Sports' new broadcast deal guaranteeing more live action than ever before.
Under a fresh four-year agreement with the league, Sky will now show a record minimum of 215 Premier League matches per season - up significantly from the 128 games broadcast in previous years. As part of the new rights deal, Sky Sports will show more Premier League action than any other broadcaster with at least four matches per week.
Midweek matches as well as Friday and Monday night football will all be covered under this new deal, giving fans the chance to tune into even more games than ever before.
Sky Group CEO Dana Strong shared her excitement at the news when it was announced, adding: "This is a fantastic result for Sky customers, who will see a significant increase in the number of matches from the most iconic league in the world. Sky is the undisputed home for sport fans in the UK."
So, these are the remaining games available to watch on TV in the UK over the opening weekend as the new Premier League season gets underway:
- Chelsea vs Fulham - Sat 12.30 (TNT Sports)
- Leeds vs Newcastle - Sat 17.30 (Sky Sports)
- Brighton vs Manchester City - Sun 14:00 (Sky Sports)
- Nottingham Forest vs West Ham - Sun 14:00 (Sky Sports)
- Liverpool vs Arsenal - Sun 16:30 (Sky Sports)
