It also works to detox the body along with heart diseases, headache, fatigue, insomnia.
Giving information about the benefits of consuming chillies, Dr Tiwari said, “Chilli is known as 'Kumricha' in Ayurveda. Its consumption benefits health in many ways. Diabetes is controlled by the consumption of green chillies. The digestive system is improved and it also removes the bacteria that accumulate in the intestines. Green chillies contain anti-oxidants that also remove infections. Green chillies also control blood pressure.”
Disadvantages of eating too much green chilli
He further said, "Consuming green chillies daily boosts metabolism and due to the element called capsaicin, the body temperature remains normal. Chilli is also beneficial in heart diseases." Dr. Tiwari said that chillies should not be consumed in excess, otherwise there may be a complaint of burning sensation in the stomach. He also said that patients of piles should avoid consuming red chillies. However, there is no problem in consuming green chillies.
