A desperate middle aged farmer from Barabanki, Lallaram, attempted to end his life by consuming a poisonous substance, alleging distress over a favored order issued by a former Tehsildar regarding a land dispute. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting the SDM to launch an immediate investigation.
Lallaram was embroiled in a land dispute case with a woman from Gulwaria village, Gonda. Farmer's son, Shamser Kumar Verma, claims that former Tehsildar Mahima Mishra hastily passed an order in favor of the opposing party just before her transfer. Shamser vehemently denies any familial connection with the woman, asserting she used fraudulent documents to make claim to the land.

SDM Preeti Singh confirmed that the case files have been secured, and an investigation is underway. She assured that appropriate action will be taken against anyone found guilty.
Former Tehsildar Mahima Mishra, however, has refuted the allegations, stating that the order passed was just and in accordance with regulations.
