Susner (Madhya Pradesh): A major culvert on the Kanthal River at Mena Marg has been blocked due to heavy water flow and a massive accumulation of water hyacinth, following continuous rainfall on Sunday
Moreover, huge accumulation of water hyacinth obstructed the flow of water on culvert which made it extremely difficult to pass through the culvert.

Local villagers expressed concerns that if the situation remains the same, it would be difficult to take out the grand kalash yatra on to honour Panchdeharia Mahadev on Monday.
They demanded authorities to ensure public safety measures on the culvert to prevent any untoward incidents. According to rainfall data, the town recorded two inches of rain in the past 24 hours, bringing the total over 14.2 inches.

Susner SDM Sarvesh Yadav said in view of continuous rain, necessary instructions have been given to janpad panchayat CEO. Also, villagers are being constantly appealed not to cross the culvert under any circumstances.
