Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The State Excise Department registered 75 cases against the liquor suppliers/bootleggers etc in the city in a week, an officer said on Thursday.
The officials claimed that the raids would be continued at the restaurant, dhabas and other places serving or selling liquor illegally in the city.
Under the direction of assistant excise commissioner Abhishek Tiwari, action was taken against illegal liquor suppliers and dhaba and restaurant owners at various places by the excise team under the leadership of district flying squad incharge and control room incharge Devesh Chaturvedi and deputy control room incharge Manoj Agrawal.
A total of 75 cases were registered during the raids between July 8 and July 15. About 311 litres of country and foreign liquor, a motorcycle and about 1,900 kg of Mahua Lahan (raw material) were seized, all worth Rs 3.5 lakh.

The excise officials raided many places including Niranjanpur, Bajrang Nagar Kankar, Maratha Dhaba, Balle Balle Dhaba (Rau Bypass), Raja Dhaba, Niharika Dhaba (Hatod), Rangwasa, Bijalpur, Apna Punjabi Dhaba, Amritsari Dhaba, Harjot Punjabi Dhaba, Veer The Mehfil, Jaspal Dhaba, Punjabi Nation Dhaba, Bhagirathpura, Mazadar Dhaba (Hiranagar), Ashiana Dhaba (Pardesipura), Manik Bagh, Kashti Dhaba (Kesarbagh), Kalariya, Dhannad, Kalika Dhaba, Kadwali Khurd, Sethiya Dhaba (Solsinda), Ajnod, Ghosikheda, Sutarkhedi, BhondiaTalab, Bhojpuri Dhaba (Manpur), Maa Kalika Dhaba (Manpur), Ramkrishna Bagh, Phali Phata, Pedmi, Harjot Dhaba (Tejaji Nagar), Tasty Dhaba (Tillaur Khurd) etc.

The team of excise sub inspector Ashish Jain from excise circle internal no. 1 took action against illegal liquor at various places in the Bypass Road area.
In the action, 2 boxes of country liquor being transported on a two-wheeler were seized along with the vehicle and a case was registered against the accused Arun Tadvi under the relevant section of the Excise Act.
The market value of the liquor and the vehicle is about Rs 1 lakh. Excise constables Mukesh Rawat, Virendra Patel, Nisha Shaktiwat played a commendable role during the action.
In another action, the team of excise sub inspector Sunil Malviya from Malwa Mill B Circle took action at various places in the MR 9 Ring Road area. About 100 quarters of country liquor being transported on a two-wheeler was recovered. The recovered liquor along with the vehicle was seized and a case was registered against accused Rajesh Kushwaha by the officials.
