Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Notorious criminal Raja Khatik, who is also a witness in the case of murder of his friend Amit Verma, slashed his throat with a broken piece of glass outside Chhola Mandir police station on Wednesday night.
Raja was taken to the police station for questioning in Amit murder case and other crime cases against him, police officials said. Raja was admitted to the hospital for treatment where he made a video claiming that the in charge of Chhola Mandir police station injured him.

However, Raja’s aide Amit Verma received two bullet injuries and died on the spot.
About 12 people, including Naseem, were arrested in this connection. On Tuesday, police also arrested another accused Waseem Khan. Police officials said that Raja Khatik was taken to the police station for questioning regarding his enmity with Naseem and also in other cases.
In charge of Chhola Mandir police station Suresh Nagar said Raja picked up a bottle as soon as he came out of the police vehicle. He broke the bottle and slashed his throat with a shard.
However, he did not receive serious injuries as the cops caught him immediately. He was admitted to hospital where his condition was normal, Nagar added. Police officials said that Raja Khatik had 11 criminal cases registered against him at different police stations of the city.
He was also involved in ‘hawala’ cash loot in Shyamla Hills and other places. Police investigations revealed that he had a dispute over division of looted cash with Waseem Khan’s brother.
