A large section of the population in India belongs to the middle-class family. The middle class is a class that has a house to live in and some money, but to dream big and fulfill them, they either have to struggle a lot or have to compromise with their dreams. The 'Bakaiti' series shows the mirror of the middle-class life by connecting these fabrics.

What is the story of 'Bakaiti'

Bakaiti is the story of a middle-class family living in Ghaziabad. It stars Rajesh Tailang (Sanjay Kataria), Sheeba Chaddha (Sushma), Aditya Shukla (Bharat), who is also a social media influencer, and Tanya Sharma (Naina) in the lead roles. A family in which there is a lot of bickering between the siblings, there is tension between the wife and the husband due to financial constraints, and there is a fight between the two brothers over property. Rajesh is a lawyer and works as a notary. He does not have much income, and that is why he wants to rent out a room in his house. For which both his children will have to share the same room. After this, neither the siblings agree to share the room.

Meanwhile, Naina and Bharat, who are Sanjay and Sheeba's children, along with their mother, come up with a business idea so that they can earn money and give it to their father, and their room does not have to be rented out. However, their business does not work out that well, and they have to rent out the room in which a boy comes to live, and Naina starts getting attracted to him. Naina's dream is to go to Mumbai and study, and she gets selected in a good college on a scholarship basis. But due to financial constraints at home, her parents talk about breaking the FD made for her studies, due to which she gets angry and leaves the house.

Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba's superb acting

Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba Chaddha have kept the story together with their natural acting in Bakaiti. Tanya Sharma as Naina and Aditya Shukla as Bharat have also acted well. The series revolving around the lives of the four also has good supporting characters who add a tadka of comedy and drama in between. Amit Gupta has unveiled many compulsions and struggles of the middle class with a light-hearted family drama.

What is special

Bakaiti is a series in which the bickering, love, compulsion, and struggle in a middle-class family have been shown in a very brilliant but light-hearted manner. The audience feels connected to this series between comedy and drama because these things happen in almost every middle-class family. Fights between two brothers for property, struggles for higher education of children, financial constraints, and women not being allowed to work, all these things, which have a big impact on the future of children, have been portrayed on screen in a very easy and light-hearted manner.

What is lacking

The series is very good as a family drama because it keeps you engaged till the end. Every small incident makes you feel that yes, this is what happens. The things that we see happening around us have been portrayed on screen in the same way, which makes the story feel like our own. But the series is not able to give any big message; this is the biggest shortcoming. If someone is giving time to a series of 7 episodes, then a strong message can be expected.

The name of the series does not match its content, although it is said in the series about chatter that we are middle-class people, how can we talk sweetly? Our life goes on by chattering like this. But if we look at it, there is no other reason why this name suits the series; it could have been a better name. You will not find any unique or out-of-the-box story in Bakaiti, but yes, your emotions will get attached to it.
