After two weeks of riveting cricketing action, the World Championship of Legends 2025 will get to see Pakistan Champions and South Africa Champions battle it out for the ultimate silverware in the Final on Saturday, August 2. Like the first season, the finals of the second edition will also be played at the Edgbaston, one of the most iconic cricketing venues in the city of Birmingham.
South Africa Champions have been in sensational form as a unit, having won four of their last five matches. Their latest fixture was in the semi-finals against Australia Champions, where the AB de Villiers-led side won the thrilling contest by just one run to seal a berth into the grand finale. Their only loss this season, however, has come against Pakistan Champions, which they would want to take revenge of on Saturday.
The Shahid Afridi-led side, on the other hand, has been a touch better than the Proteas, as they haven't lost a single game this season. Their entry into the finals, however, did not come off a win, but due to the cancellation of their fixture with India Champions over diplomatic concern. The side will want to maintain the winning momentum and do what they could not in 2024 by winning the finals.

Probable Best Performers of the Match Probable Best Batter — AB de Villiers
The legendary South African cricketer AB de Villiers has been in unworldly form with the bat. He has scored two hundreds and a half-century in the tournament already to become the highest run-getter in the league so far, with 309 runs off just five games at a mind-boggling average of 103.00. He will once again look to put his prowess with the bat on display and lead from the front to lead his side to their maiden title in the marquee tournament.
Probable Best Bowler — Saeed Ajmal.jpeg)
The Pakistani mystery spinner Saeed Ajmal has featured only in one game in the WCL 2025 so far, but his sole outing was enough to impress fans and experts alike. He took six wickets while giving away just 16 runs from his 3.5 overs in the clash against the Brett Lee-led side. This one performance alone has made him the joint-highest wicket-taker for his side, alongside Sohail Tanvir, who has played four games to scalp as many. Ajmal can prove to be Pakistan's trump card in the finale at Edgbaston.
