But it didn’t take long for things to get messy. This week, fans started buzzing after Selena quietly unfollowed her longtime friend and former assistant, Theresa Marie Mingus, on Instagram. The move came just as a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) claimed that Benny had allegedly subscribed to Theresa’s OnlyFans account.

There’s been no confirmation from anyone involved, but speculation picked up fast. Some fans also noticed that Theresa had been posting about Benny, including his People's “Sexiest Man Alive” feature, and had reportedly visited his home when Selena wasn’t around. The timing of it all has left fans wondering if there's more to the story.

A viral post has stirred up online buzz after claiming Selena Gomez unfollowed her longtime friend Theresa Marie Mingus. According to the post shared by the account Selena Gomez Charts on X, the move came after rumors surfaced that Gomez’s fiancé, Benny Blanco, had subscribed to Theresa’s OnlyFans account.

The same X thread also alleged that Theresa was recently spotted having dinner alone with Benny, just days before the unfollow happened. It added that Theresa often visits Benny’s house when Selena isn’t around and that Benny still follows her online. It also pointed out that Theresa had publicly celebrated Benny being named People's Sexiest Man Alive.

While Selena has quietly cut ties, both Benny and Theresa still follow each other—and Theresa continues to follow Selena as well.  

'Shouldn't she unfollow him?': Fans slam Selena 

The post has taken off on X, pulling in over 9 million views along with 54,000 likes, 4,600 reshares, and hundreds of comments. Fans of the Disney alum are stunned and now questioning whether Selena will still go through with the wedding if the rumors about Benny turn out to be true.

One user wrote, "This is what happens when a beautiful woman gives an ugly man a chance."

Another wrote, "I don't know what people expected from him considering his weird sexual fantasy."

Meanwhile, some also said that instead of unfollowing her best friend, she should have taught a lesson to her fiancé. "He subscribed to her friend's OF, and she unfollowed her FRIEND first, not cutting off the boyfriend. While Theresa is a b!tch for going to his house when she is not there and all that and deserved to be cut off, I just know Selena is not going to let Benny go," the user said.

Another echoed similar sentiments, writing, "Unfollowing the woman instead of calling out your bf and holding him accountable as well is so weird. You all could never be like her."

"Daym...... you better save yourself before you're married, girl," wrote one individual. 

​Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco began dating privately in June 2023 and went public with their relationship in December 2023. They announced their engagement on December 11, 2024, with Gomez sharing the news on Instagram, showcasing her marquise diamond ring and captioning the post, “Forever begins now.” ​
