People of India are angry with Turkey
It is worth noting that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India launched Operation Sindoor against the terrorists hiding in Pakistan. Turkey expressed displeasure over this move of India and said that it would support Pakistan. People of India are very angry with this. Most of the people have even cancelled their bookings with Turkey.
When was the MoU signed?
According to the JNU website, this agreement was signed on 3 February 2025 for three years. It was to continue till 3 February 2028, but citing the security of the country, JNU has suspended it. JNU took this step when the government banned the x account of Turkey's news broadcaster TRT World in India. Actually, this channel was broadcasting false information against India. Due to this, protests against Turkey's products and services are increasing in the country.
