⚠️ I-T Department Cracks Down on Fake Deductions
The Income Tax Department is taking strict action against taxpayers who are falsely claiming deductions under various sections of the Income Tax Act. On July 14, 2025, the department conducted raids targeting individuals and entities found guilty of making fraudulent deduction claims in their income tax returns (ITR).
🧾 What Are Fake Deduction Claims?Some taxpayers try to reduce their taxable income by:

Claiming false deductions under Section 80C, 80D, HRA, or other sections
