Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso has reportedly already made a decision over the Rodrygo amid links to Arsenal.
Arsenal have so far made three signings this summer, in the form of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.
A fourth signing is imminent, with Noni Madueke expected to be announced in a deal from Chelsea soon.

But several other players have continued to be linked with a move to the Emirates.
Rodrygo, who appears to have fallen down the pecking order at Real, has struggled to reclaim his spot in the club's starting XI - which also tries to fit in the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
There were hopes he would see more playing time during the FIFA Club World Cup, but in reality, Rodrygo only started Real's group stage opener last month and hasn’t started any of their five matches since.
His situation has firmly put him on the radar of Arsenal. And now, they have been handed an encouraging update.
According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, which cites the Spanish press, Alonso is eager to overhaul his squad and has reportedly already marked three players for departure - one of them being Rodrygo.
Dani Ceballos and Brahim Diaz are said to be the other two on the list.
The report adds that Alonso told president Florentino Perez that they can all leave 'if proposals arise.'
Quizzed about the lack of opportunities for the Brazilian winger, Alonso previously explained: "I didn't play Rodrygo for a technical decision. We thought we would be better off with other players.
"It's not about his future," he insisted against those claims.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the player's camp will meet with Real Madrid officials next week to discuss whether he will stay or leave this summer.
football.london understands Rodrygo's name still remains part of the discussion behind-the-scenes at Arsenal.
